Objective: To analyze how movie directors turn novels into movies (think flashbacks, order of information, accuracy of information, etc.). (STANDARD RL.7)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by listing 10 inconsistencies between the movie and the novel. 
  
Agenda:
1.      Watch The Great Gatsby movie, while making a list of 10 inconsistencies between the movie and the novel - 80 min

Assessment: Exit Slip: 10 inconsistencies

Homework: Choice Novel Interviews begin TOMORROW!

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by discussing the poem and comparing it to the novel.

  1. Read and analyze poem: "Inventory" - 10 min
  2. Review Feminist Literary Theory. - 5 min
  3. Discuss The Color Purple p. 26-53 - 10 min
  4. Student work time: Continue reading, answer 2 Google Classroom Questions, or begin drafting Personal Narrative
