period of flowering
“It was clear

Go over the answers to Frankenstein Test - 10 min- Introduce
novel, Lord of the Flies/Discuss Maslow’s Hierarchy of
Needs. – 10 min
- Read aloud half of chapter 1. – 20 min
- Individually, continue reading chapter 1 – rest of
class
Assessment: The
beginning of a character web.
Homework: Finish Chapter 1 “The Sound of the
Shell” p. 7-31
