American Literature Lesson

Objective: (1) To discuss the voices “at the table” and what they are saying. (2) To begin thinking about what you will add to the conversation in progress. (STANDARD RI.1-2)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by locating relevant sources within the articles and determining what each voice says (on sticky notes).
   
Agenda:
1.      SSR - 20 min
2.      Discussion of working claims – 5 min
3.      Analogy of “entering into a conversation already in progress” – 20 min

b.      What are they saying?
4.      Review of Divergent Chapters 6-9 – 10 min
