Objective: To demonstrate command of the conventions of Standard English grammar and usage, particularly Pronoun Reference and Subject-Verb Agreement. (STANDARD L.1)

Vocabulary Word-of-the-day: vengeance (noun): infliction of injury, harm, humiliation, or the like, on a person by another who has been harmed by that person; violent revenge

“Surely in that moment I should have been possessed by frenzy and have destroyed my miserable existence but that my vow was heard and that I was reserved for vengeance” (Shelley 193).

Student Learning Objective: To make predictions about the conclusion of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein(STANDARDS RL.1, W.2)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by making predictions about the conclusion based on information foreshadowed.
  
Agenda:
1.      Discuss Frankenstein Chapters 21-22 – 20 min
2.      OPTIONAL EXTRA CREDIT: Individually, read “The Birthmark” – 45 min
And… write a short essay response to the thematic parallels between Frankenstein and “The Birthmark” via Google Classroom – 10 min (due by 11:59 PM today)
3.      Student work time – rest of class
a.       Finish the novel
b.      Complete two Google Classroom Questions on second half of the novel – due 11:59 PM today
c.       Write a claim for Frankenstein essay due Monday at 11:59 PM
d.      Begin locating quotations to prove the claim and how to smoothly incorporate those quotations
