OBJECTIVE: To imitate the structure of the children's book but change the content and to find inspiring words to create a "found poem." (STANDARD W.3)

SUCCESS CRITERIA: Students will show mastery by writing a few stanzas using the poetic form modeled as well as writing a free verse "found poem."

AGENDA:

1.     Story time by Mrs. O'Dell Bear Says Thanks -10 min

2.     Notebook: Imitate the structure, but change the content - 10 min

3.     Found poetry - 15 min

4.     Introduce Portfolio Midterm project - 10 min

5.     Introduce Grant project - 10 min

6.     Grant project Parts 1 and 2 - 35 min
