Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by earning a 75%+ on the persuasive essay rubric.

Homework: ACADEMIC ESSAY #3, due Friday

AP English Literature and Composition

Student Learning Objective: (1) To be introduced to the main characters in Hamlet and their relationships to each other, as well as their internal and external conflicts.  (2) To analyze multiple interpretations of a play (written word versus performed). (STANDARDS RL.1, RL.2, RL.7)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by summarizing the events of ACT to a table partner.

Agenda:
  1. Watch movie – ACT I (do not go farther than Hamlet’s pals swearing on his sword) – 30 min?
  2. Work with a table partner to write a summary of ACT to be used as a resource on the Final Test – 20 min
  3. Consider expanding Personal Narrative, although next two pages aren’t due until November 30 – 30 min

Assessment: Summary of ACT – turn it in!

Homework: NONE!
