Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by taking notes from the Prezi Presentation and be able to recall the main ideas of those notes to a friend. 

Agenda:

1.      SSR - 20 min

2.      Go over the answers to Grammar Quiz #8 (Re-quiz?) – 15 min

3.      Introduction to the Romantic Literary Period – Notes/Prezi – 20 min

4.      Introduction to Divergent – 20 min

5.      Independent Reading Time - 15 min

Assessment: Class discussion

Homework: Divergent Chapters 1-2 p. 1-18

Objective: To view and take notes on the movie Renaissance Man, in preparation for the Midterm Essay due on Wednesday. (STANDARD RL.1, RL.2, SL.2)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by taking notes on common themes between the movie and the course texts. 

Agenda:

1.      Finish movie Hamlet – 15 min

2.      Explain the midterm assignment – 5 min

3.      View movie – 35 min

Assessment: Notes taken independently

Homework: Midterm Assignment due Wednesday at the end of the block
