Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by recording known facts and facts learned by the movie on the Know/Learned chart.

WOD:

1. French Revolution: a period from 1789-1799 full of social and political upheaval in France
2. Guillotine [gil-uh-teen or gee-uh-teen] (noun): a device for beheading a person by means of a heavy blade that is dropped between two posts serving as guides; widely used during the French Revolution
3. anaphora (literary device): the repetition of a phrase at the beginning of consecutive clauses
4. motif (literary device): recurrent image – the doubles
