Objective: To prove your knowledge of Death of a Salesman in a well-supported literary analysis.  (STANDARD W.2)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by improving their score from Academic Essay #2, particularly in the “support with textual evidence” category. 

Agenda:

1.      Optional: Finish the movie? – 20 min

2.      Student work time: Academic Essay #3 due at the end of the block – 70 min

Student Learning Objective: (1) To continue to analyze the internal and external conflicts in Hamlet.  (2) To analyze multiple interpretations of a play (written word versus performed). (STANDARDS RL.1, RL.7)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by summarizing the events of ACT to a table partner.

Agenda:

1. Watch movie (from swearing on the sword to the play within the play)
2. Read ACT III.ii - III.iv p. 68-93 – 45 min
3. We will finish reading the play on Monday
4. We will finish watching the play on Tuesday, followed by the test

Assessment: Oral class discussion

Homework: Prepare summary to be used on test.
