Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by rewriting "The Gettysburg Address" in contemporary language.

  3. Read from textbook “The Gettysburg Address” p. 315 - 10 min
  4. EXIT SLIP: Writing Options #1 p. 316: “Write a paraphrase of The Gettysburg Address in contemporary language.”   - 10 min
  5. Read from textbook "Untie His Hands" p. 318-321 - 10 min
  6. Answer Questions 2-5 on page 321 - 10 min

Homework: Optional Choice Novel #5/Annotated Bib #5, due Wednesday, Jan 17

AP English Literature and Composition

Objective: To work collaboratively to create and maintain a group “book talk” blog on the chosen literature circle novel. (STANDARD RL. 1-5, W.2, W.6)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by producing two thought-provoking, critical analysis blog posts of their literature circle novel. 

Agenda:
1.            Discuss novel with group – 9:25-9:45
2.            Create and proof-read blogs/Post two blogs by the end of the block – 9:45-10:15
3.            Read independently (or collaboratively) – 10:15-10:45

Assessment: Two blog posts (blogs 7-8)


Homework: Continue reading Literature Circle Novel according to reading schedule set by group
