Objective: (1) To build relationships while reviewing the eight parts of speech. (2) Writing Pretest: To demonstrate a careful reading of the passage, present a clear and logical analysis, and use language precisely. (STANDARD SL.1, L.1, W.2)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by (1) confidently and correctly presenting their posters and passing Grammar Quiz #1 with a 70%+, and (2) using evidence from the passage to support a claim.

1.    Grammar Ice Breaker Presentations – 15 min

2.    Review Grammar Notes #1 – 5 min

3.    Grammar Quiz #1 OPEN NOTES – 10 min

4.    Writing Pre-test – 50 min (NOT 3^rd BLOCK!)

Homework: Select a Choice Novel by Friday
