Objective: (1) To recognize the author’s choice to include a flashback in Chapter 4 and to evaluate its effectiveness, and (2) To review the main events from Chapters 4-5. (STANDARD RL.1, RL.5)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by locating the time shift and point of view shift in Chapter 4 and the main events from Chapters 4-5.
  
Agenda:
1.     SSR – 20 min
2.     Go over the answers to Grammar Quiz #6 and RE-QUIZ! – 10 min
3.     Grammar Notes #7 – 15 min
4.     Discuss The Great Gatsby Chapters 4-5 – 20 min
5.     Read Chapter 6 aloud (with Reader’s Theatre) – 25 min
