Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by identifying "Realism" characteristics in the text to a table partner and in the EXIT SLIP.

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by producing two thought-provoking, critical analysis blog posts of their literature circle novel.

Agenda:

1.      Read informational text: "Study: Most teens start school too early..." - Identify the claim and best evidence to support the claim.  Take notes on Note-catcher - 25 min

2.      Choose a literature circle book – 10 min

3.      Create a group blog – 20 min

4.      Read independently (or collaboratively) – 35 min

Assessment: Create a blog; create a group reading and blogging schedule
