group “book talk” blog on the chosen literature circle novel. (STANDARD
RL. 1-5, W.2, W.6)
Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by producing two
thought-provoking, critical analysis blog posts of their literature circle
novel.
Agenda:
1. Read informational text: "Studies offer
mixed messages on social media's effect on young people" - Identify the
claim and best evidence to support the claim. Take notes on Note-catcher
- 25 min
2. Discuss novel with group – 15 min
3. Create and proof-read blogs/Post two blogs by
the end of the block – 30 min
4. Read independently (or collaboratively) – 20 min
Assessment: Two blog posts (7-8)
Homework: Continue reading Literature
Circle Novel according to reading schedule set by group; Last three pages of
