3.      Writing Lesson: “In between the dialogue”
a.       Read Opening Scene Dialogue – 2 min
b.      Watch the opening scene of the movie – 6 min
c.       Notebook entry #28: If this scene was written in a novel, how would it be written?  Add the narration that should be “in between the dialogue.”  Include dialogue as needed.  Really focus on the non-verbals of this scene.  – 10 min
4.      Read “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” (handout) - 25 min
5.      EXIT SLIP: Compare and contrast the author's structure, style, and themes in the two short stories. - 15 min
