Objective: To become familiar with your teacher and your classmates. (STANDARD)

Success Criteria: The student will show mastery by thoughtfully answering the 14 questions on the Google Classroom assignment and engaging in the class discussion.

  

Agenda: 

1.      Welcome, intro to teacher, and classroom tour - 10 min

2.      Login to chromebooks/Google Classroom code - 5 min

3.      Complete Google Classroom Questions (What your teacher needs to know...) - 30 min

4.      Group activity: "6 Messages Every Student Needs to Hear on the First Day of School" - 5 min individually, 5 min with group of same colored paper, whole group share 10 min = 20 min

5.      Grammar Income Quiz - 10 min

6.      Book talk Mrs. O'Dell's summer reading - 10 min

Assessment: Google Classroom Questions (What your teacher needs to know…)

Homework: Select a choice novel by next Wed; Decorated Notebook by Monday
