Objective: (1) To leave class today with a plan, an outline, a rough draft, etc. of Creative Piece #1 (STANDARD W.3, W.5) and (2) tmimic Franklin's aphorisms by writing your own. (STANDARD W.3)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by having table partner discussions about the topic of their writing (and a visual confirmation by the teacher). 
  
Agenda:
1.      SSR – 20 min, with SSR Exit Slip – 5 min = 25 min
2.      Discuss rubric for Creative Piece #1 – 5 min
3.      Grammar Notes #4 with clicker “quiz” - 20 min
4.      Individually, read from textbook, “Poor Richard’s Almanack” p. 117 – 5 min
5.      Student work time – 25 min
a.       Continue brainstorming, begin outlining/drafting Creative Piece #1
b.      Continue The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn p. 195-218
c.       Continue reading Choice Book
