Objective: To write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences. (STANDARD W.3)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by improving their Creative Piece score from CP #2 to CP #3. 

Agenda:
1. Student Work Time for Creative #3 – 90 min

Assessment: Creative Piece #3, due at the end of the block

Homework: NONE!

 4th and 5th Blocks ONLY (minus juniors taking the M-STEP)

Objective: To change the content but keep the structure of the model text poem "Fear." (STANDARD RL.4. RL.5)

Success Criteria: Students will show mastery by writing their own "Fear" poem, keeping the structure set by the author.

2. Invitation to Imitate: "Fear" - 25 min
3. Misplaced Modifier Activity - 25 min
4. Finish “Midterm Portfolio Plan” Assignment
